Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team. The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services for our organization. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality vendor relationships. The successful candidate will contribute to cost-effective procurement strategies and help streamline our procurement processes.

Role Responsibilities

Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and service criteria.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors to secure advantageous agreements.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues promptly.

Sourcing and Procurement

  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and objectives.
  • Source and procure goods and services in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, bids, and proposals.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders and contracts.

Cost Optimization

  • Analyze pricing trends and market conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement cost reduction strategies while maintaining product quality and supplier relationships.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in procurement operations.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procurement laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review procurement documentation, including contracts and purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure contract compliance.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and track usage to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to optimize inventory turnover.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure availability of critical items.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven 1+ years experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
