Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team. Role Responsibilities
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and service criteria.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors to secure advantageous agreements.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues promptly.
Sourcing and Procurement
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and objectives.
- Source and procure goods and services in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, bids, and proposals.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders and contracts.
Cost Optimization
- Analyze pricing trends and market conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost reduction strategies while maintaining product quality and supplier relationships.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in procurement operations.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procurement laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review procurement documentation, including contracts and purchase orders.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure contract compliance.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and track usage to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to optimize inventory turnover.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure availability of critical items.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven 1+ years experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
