Axoni is looking for Java Software Engineers who will be responsible for software development for our biggest client initiative. Our projects vary across multiple industries including Bond Issuance, Securities Lending, and Equity Swaps to deliver a seamless, optimized experience all the way to the end user. You will work directly with our clients to understand and solve their largest pain points.

You will:

• Use Java to develop cloud-hosted, API-first, microservices and applications
• Handle end-to-end development, including coding, testing, debugging and reviewing code
• Interact with users and development teams to gather and define requirements and analyze user stories for validity and feasibility
• Work within the team on iterative development that delivers high-quality, stable services
• Engineer effective, defect-free configurations and code that meets business requirements and team standards
• Interact with messaging systems like Apache Kafka, MQ, etc.
• Work in a scrum team and follow Agile and Test Driven Development best practices
• Work with containerization/orchestration tools such as Docker or Kubernetes

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience using Java
• Experience designing distributed enterprise software
• Experience deploying and supporting production workloads
• Experience building REST services and/or microservices
• Strong database experience, preferably with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or DB2
• Familiarity with tools and frameworks in the Java ecosystems (Spring, Spring Boot, Vert.x etc.)
• Experience with AWS infrastructure
• Experience writing concurrent and multi-threaded java applications

• Experience with networking protocols (http, tcp, gRPC, etc.)
• Experience working with OAuth and Authorization providers Experience with SaaS
• Capital markets and fintech experience
• Familiarity or interest in learning scala
