Job Description:

McCoy Design is looking for a junior experiential graphic designer. This position requires outstanding design and typographic skills, excellent time management and organization skills, and great communication abilities. 

As a junior experiential graphic designer, you will be involved in all phases of the design and construction administration processes. You must understand EGD materials and processes, ADA and codes, be able to read architectural drawings, understand and be able to use scale, and have an incredible talent for dimensional and typographic design. You will work closely with our senior designers and project managers to improve and complete design tasks. 

As a junior designer, you will be the secondary point of contact for the client, design team and fabricators. You will assist in guiding the client through all phases of the project from discovery to final punch, and you will manage multiple projects at once. This position requires attention to detail, organization and exceptional relationship skills.

Qualified candidates must have:

• A college degree

• At least three years of experience in graphic design, industrial design, interior design or architecture, with at least one of those in EGD

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator and InDesign)

• Working knowledge of CADtools or similar 

• An understanding of scale

• An understanding of building, fire and ADA codes

• A great personality, a sense of humor, and a positive approach to collaboration

McCoy Design is a small EGD firm located in the heart of East Nashville, Tennessee. We’ve been in business for 18 years doing work all around the country. Our projects include print, logo development and branded environments, but the majority of our work is signage and wayfinding.
