Lambda Robotics builds autonomous systems for physical infrastructure. We’re looking for a founding software engineer to build the platform that turns individual robots into a secure, reliable fleet deployable across many customers and sites.
What you’ll own
- Build the infrastructure for managing and operating fleets of robots
- Design robot registration, identity, authentication, and access-control systems
- Build secure multi-tenant architecture that isolates each customer’s robots and data
- Develop remote deployment, configuration, software updates, and rollback systems
- Build logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident-recovery infrastructure
- Develop APIs and customer interfaces for commanding robots and viewing their status
- Build reliable pipelines for robot telemetry, video, logs, and operational data
- Work closely with robotics engineers to productionize teleoperation, autonomy, and data collection
- Define the architecture needed to scale from a few robots to thousands
What we’re looking for
- Deep experience building backend, distributed, cloud, or device-management systems
- Comfortable working across Linux, networking, APIs, databases, and deployment infrastructure
- Ability to design reliable systems that interact with real physical hardware
- Strong ownership and comfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
Nice to have
- Experience with robotics, ROS 2, IoT, edge computing, or autonomous systems
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, observability, or over-the-air updates
- Experience building secure multi-tenant SaaS or fleet-management platforms
- Familiarity with real-time video streaming and unreliable network environments
