Everyone at Toma operates as a generalist plugged into the product life cycle, starting from the customer. That means your role will span tackling tough engineering challenges (low latency audio manipulation, model fine-tuning, high concurrency streaming, LLM agent task optimization, building SOTA state-intent models, etc.) and interacting with customers such as managers at auto dealerships who are amongst the most brutally honest, hardworking and first principled thinkers in business.

Required Qualifications

• A track record of excellence throughout your career
• Exceptional coding skills and the ability to ship high-quality code daily
• Strong problem ownership and drive
• Passion and guts for talking to (and getting roasted by) customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Bun, low-level Node.js, T3 Stack (Next.js, React, Prisma, PostgreSQL, NextAuth, tRPC), Python
• Experience in building LLM applications
• Aptitude for prompt engineering
• Great understanding of operating systems and distributed systems
