We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join as our first sales hire.

  • Went from 0 -> 160+ customers in the last 18 months.
  • Grew revenue more than 5x in the last 12 months.
  • Has been cash-flow positive in the last 8 months.

About Converge

Converge is building data infrastructure for online stores to improve attribution accuracy and lower customer acquisition costs through better tracking. We are vertically integrating the modern data stack for B2C by consolidating customer data collection, identity resolution, transformations, attribution, data forwarding, and analytics into a single platform.

Converge is backed by Y Combinator (S23), General Catalyst, and founders of Posthog, Algolia, Shipbob, Showpad, etc. We power the customer data infrastructure of 160+ ecommerce customers ranging from small DTC stores to publicly traded online retailers.

Who we're looking for

This isn't a typical AE role. This is a once-in-lifetime opportunity to help build a sales org from scratch

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Not afraid to own processes end-to-end: You will help us generate leads, close deals, and make customers successful. 
  • Great at prioritization and communication: You will be laser focused on finding and closing leads who match our ICP, and communicating market feedback to the engineering team to help us build the best product faster.
  • Willing to become a product expert: Our customers buy from us because we are experts at what we do. 
  • Hyper responsive: This is obviously a must - you need to feel like an extension of a lead's existing team to solve their tracking and attribution issues.

What you'll be doing

  • Generate leads by going to events, work with partners (mainly MarTech, web development, and marketing agencies), and test outbound initiatives.
  • Qualify and process inbound interest from people who contact us directly for a demo or via other channels. 
  • Help customers scope and finish the implementation, adopt our analytics product, and show the value of our improved tracking.
  • Become a MarTech expert so you can confidently answer questions on tracking, attribution, and marketing reporting.

Compensation: £80-100k GBP (50% base, 50% commission-based) + equity (0.5% - 1.0%)

Requirements

  • Commercially-minded: You’re excited about growing and retaining revenue. You’ll get creative in getting leads engaged and manage sales cycles end-to-end.  
  • Good at handling relationships strategically: Helping a customer achieve their goals, expanding their usage and buying more products from us as they do so, while saying no to customers who we’re not right for.

 

Nice to have

  • Experience working in MarTech or in the Data infrastructure / Analytics / CDP space.
  • You’ve closed deals in the $20k-100k+ ARR range.
