What we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Infra/DevOps Engineer with a strong background in designing and managing scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in infrastructure and DevOps roles, with hands-on expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), scripting and automation (Python, Bash), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining infrastructure and ensuring system performance, reliability, and security. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with development teams and advocate for infrastructure needs.

In this role, you will also implement containerization and orchestration solutions, ensure compliance with industry best practices, provide mentorship to team members, and drive cross-team projects to enhance infrastructure and operational efficiency. Continuous evaluation and adoption of new technologies and tools will be key to improving our infrastructure and DevOps processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure and DevOps roles.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation using languages such as Python.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with development teams and advocate for infrastructure needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using IaC tools.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, reliability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure infrastructure supports the needs of applications and services.
  • Implement and manage containerization and orchestration solutions for application deployment and scalability.
  • Ensure infrastructure adheres to industry best practices and compliance standards.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on infrastructure and DevOps best practices.
  • Drive cross-team projects to enhance the overall infrastructure and operational efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools to improve infrastructure and DevOps processes.

Our Offer:

As of 7/24/2024, if we hire you in San Francisco, your base salary would fall within the bands below. Please keep in mind that the equity and variable portion of your offer is not included in these numbers and represents a significant part of your total compensation.
