About The Team

The Finance Business Partner (FBP) area is within the Strategic Finance department, and its main objective is to drive the company’s growth through financial discipline, and in-depth financial and strategic analysis. The challenge includes the responsibility of providing key insights into the workings of the organization and enabling leaders from all areas to make better decisions. You will be influencing core business functions through deep financial and operational analysis. The FBP area is meant to focus on value creation. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key finance partner focused on being a profit enabler and supporting the business's strategic goals alongside senior business leaders.

About The Challenge

Build and lead a team of analysts that will be responsible for monitoring all the operational information and translating it into the financial impact Need to translate data into actionable insights, think quick, and apply lateral and creative thinking to gain value from it Must develop a deep and holistic understanding of the organization and external surroundings, and take an active role in growing and shaping the business Will have to build relationships and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues across the organization Focus on driving business value, improving the business performance, evaluating risks, and influencing real-world outcomes FBP success is measured by business impact This position is based out of Mexico City

Day-to-day activities

Spend time at our operational facilities talking to senior business leaders to better understand their financial and operational pain points to develop and implement solutions Lead the development of financial and data collection processes alongside the project managers Develop, calculate, monitor, and evaluate operational and financial KPIs and OKRs of internal clients Business vertical P&L ownership – Tracking business performance against goals, providing an understanding of the impact of different factors on the business vertical’s P&L, developing and implementing policies and processes to maintain and improve profitability Focus on analyzing and optimizing operational and non-operational costs that lead to actionable insights Work together with our operations and tech team for the analysis and selection of suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors Short-, medium- and long-term strategic decisions (costs/expenses savings proposals Lead and support financial planning processes for a business vertical (monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and business reviews) Ad hoc Operational and Commercial projects

The Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics. Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance roles, Business Consulting, or Financial Modeling Robust analytical & modeling skills CFA candidate or charter holder is a plus Advanced Excel level is a must (Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI are a plus) Fluent English (Advanced) Previous experience at a startup or consulting company is a plus Previous experience in logistics is a plus
