Join Verusen as an Onboarding Specialist! The Onboarding Specialist is an integral part of  Verusen’s Onboarding Team, a team dedicated to working directly with the customer to transfer, load, and transform their data into the Verusen platform.  As an Onboarding Specialist on the Onboarding Team, you will lead customers through the functional and technical work that goes into onboarding a new customer. Responsibilities Functional Lead on Customer Onboardings:

  • Designated lead on customer onboardings, responsible for working with the customer to transform, load and map their data into our dev and prod environments 

  • Utilizes dbt and SQL to map and transform customer data to the Verusen platform schema

  • Advocates for the customer, serves as project manager on onboardings, drives projects to an on-time completion, and works cross-functionally to continuously improve our internal operations

  • QA of data and configuration during an onboarding by conducting unit test cases and developing and running SQL pre and post transformation queries for data validation

  • Assesses functional requirements with the customer and serves as project manager through the design and implementation of automated data transfer solutions, including cloud connectors, on-prem connectors, and python scripting

  • Assist with design of automated data transfer solutions including cloud connectors, on-prem connectors, and python scripting

  • Will engage with the customer in later phases to lead efforts around additional data sources, plants, etc. 

Pre-Sales Support:

  • Supports the pre-sales process by facilitating the discovery of functional and technical data requirements

  • Works with the sales engineer by conducting data transfer conversations with the customer’s IT team, including automated data feed options

  • Ingests subsets of customer data and transforms to a schema utilized for data analysis

  • Acts as the primary point of contact once the customer deal has been signed to begin the kickoff process for data onboarding

Product-Level Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our enterprise software platform, its features, and its benefits.

  • Utilize product knowledge to lead customer conversations during the onboarding phase around customer needs and wants for the Verusen platform

  • Understanding of how our product utilizes customer data to assess customer data capabilities to match our own software requirements

  • Ability to work closely with the product and engineering teams around data gaps, feature requests, and customization needs

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience as an enterprise software technical product implementation consultant or business analyst

  • Experience assessing requirements and capabilities of EAM or ERP softwares (SAP, Oracle, Maximo, Infor, etc.)

  • Strong technical analysis of data with SQL and customer systems architecture for data ingest and transformation

  • Familiar with tools/systems including dbt, jira, gitlab, snowflake, databricks

  • Ability to manage multiple projects including timelines, resource management, and competing priorities

  • Ability to lead conversation with customers and present product concepts, strategy, and vision 

  • Knowledgeable of and experience in Supply Chain or Inventory Management is a nice to have

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team as we continue to grow and expand our presence in the enterprise software market. As a Verusen Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by collaborating with Account Executives to secure new business and ensure customer success.

Responsibilities:

Sales Support:

  • Assist Account Executives in sales calls, solution presentations, and demos to understand customer requirements.

  • Take joint ownership of assigned accounts/opportunities with Account Executives on MRO and Supply Chain issues issues.

  • Provide input and coordinate internal resources for RFI and RFP responses.

  • Lead and facilitate discovery and scoping sessions with clients.

  • Respond to customer questions and objections on MRO and Supply Chain issues.

  • Manage expectations with prospects, customers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Work with Account Executives and our delivery team to develop customer demonstrations and health checks and business cases.

  • Coordinate and collaborate closely with internal teams (Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success and Onboarding) to 1) participate in the sales process and 2) build appropriate sales support tools as necessary.

Subject Matter Expertise in MRO Supply Chain:

  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supply chain domain. (i.e., understanding of concepts such as Criticality, Service Level and Asset Maintnence)

  • Act as the key resource for MRO supply chain knowledge, industry trends, and challenges.

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to address MRO supply chain pain points using our software solutions.

Product-Level Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our enterprise software platform, its features, and its benefits.

  • Utilize product knowledge to effectively communicate the value proposition and competitive advantages to prospects and customers.

  • Customize product demonstrations and presentations to align with customer needs and objectives.

Hand-off between Sales and Customer Success/Onboarding:

  • Act as the internal primary point of contact during the hand-off process from sales to customer success/onboarding teams for closed and won deals.

  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers and Onboarding Specialists to facilitate a seamless transition for new customers.

  • Provide guidance and advisory support to the project team on implementation approach and complex configuration issues.

  • Participate in QA checkpoints during delivery to ensure the solution aligns with the original scope.

  • Contribute to estimating and SOW templates.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Engineer within the enterprise software industry.

  • Strong background (10+ years) in the MRO supply chain domain, with demonstrated expertise and knowledge of related processes, challenges, and technologies.

  • Proven track record of success in driving and closing enterprise software sales deals.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business) or equivalent work experience.
