Introduction

Poko is building a global payment solution with the mission of enabling game studios, creators, and other industry segments to accept payments across borders seamlessly, leveraging local payment methods and stable coins. Poko is a Singapore and Vietnam based startup backed by Y Combinator and top tier VCs, such as Goodwater Capital, Global Founders Capital and SOMA Capital.

We are looking for a talented full-stack developer who will be responsible for designing, and implementing web-app. The successful candidate will join the team and contribute towards various implementation tasks, mostly building decentralised applications with ReactJS, NodeJS with primary focus. No prior knowledge of blockchain is necessary but the ability to handle well-known Ethereum libraries is a big plus. We are looking for someone who loves technical challenges, cares about building products, and can handle ambiguity of an early stage start-up.

Our co-founding team includes the Chief Strategy and founding team member of a US$2B coin cap protocol and a former Head of Netflix marketing and growth for Southeast Asia/ Product Manager at Amazon. We are an early stage startup culture that is global, fast-moving and constantly experimenting.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and test the platform including API and dashboard.

• Brainstorm and help evaluate applications for new tools and technologies as they continually evolve

• Maintain and extend current client- and server-side applications responsible for integration and business logic

• Document new solutions as well as maintaining that of existing ones

Requirements

• 5-7 years of engineering experience ideally with product development experience at a startup

• Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript and its frameworks, including ReactJS, NodeJS, NextJS, NestJS

• Strong at backend development and system design

• Familiar with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), able to design REST APIs

• Speak, write and read English professionally

Bonus points:

• Understanding of web3, and payment services integrations (Stripe, Checkout,..)

• Experience with metrics, monitoring, alerting, and logging systems

• Experience with AWS and other cloud services

• Experience in developing iOS and Android mobile applications
