Job Description

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

As a full-stack software engineer, you will participate in application software design, development, unit testing, code review and deployment in Agile sprint cycles. Your expertise in various technology domains will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex problems. Your quest to embracing leading-edge technologies and methodologies inspires the team to follow.

Key Responsibilities will include:
* Collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
* Understand business requirements, partnering with global stakeholders, offering solutions from design, development, testing to deployment to UAT and production.
* Design, code, test and implement high quality reusable backend Java REST API services and UI/UX design in Angular4+ for web-based applications hosting on internal or external Cloud.
* Work with Spark to support backend process's.
* Ensure that design and implementation works against high-volume data sources and still achieve reasonable UI response time.
* Self-motivated team player, possess the ability to research, troubleshoot and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire needed information
* Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
* Establish/follow Data Governance standards, guidelines, and best practices around reference data, critical data, metadata and operational data management.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
* BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
* 5+ years proven hands-on Java Software Development experience
* Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
* Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
* Proficiency with Java 8, Object-Oriented design & analysis
* Proficiency with Angular 4+, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, bootstrap, experience with UX design a plus
* Proficiency with Relational DB, SQL, good understanding of data integrity constraints
* Knowledge of Hadoop Ecosystem a plus
* Experience with Spark programming a plus
* Experience with Microservices REST API
* Experience with Cloud Computing, Cloud Foundry, Spring boot, Spring cloud
* Experience with Junit, Mockito
* Experience with GIT bitbucket, Jenkins, Jules, Maven 3+
* Experience with Unix, shell scripts, python
