As a member of our Digital Workplace Analytics team, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovative and very large-scale data analytics. The successful candidate is someone that has strong programming fundamentals and can think analytically to leverage data and applicable technology for creating real time insights into the firm's use of workplace technology by its 250,000+ employees. Prior experience working with large scale distributed systems, big data technology, and high-volume streaming analytics is essential. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner regularly with your many stakeholders to stay focused on common goals. Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive programming skills in Python, Java or Scala

• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills

• Experiencing designing large scale data processing systems

• Data science or analytics industry certifications or equivalent preferred

Experience with Data

• Expertise working with large scale big data systems, architectures and implementation - Splunk, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka etc.

• Experienced with Instrumenting/Logging, and Metrics/Monitoring using tools such as Splunk, Logstash or Fluentd.

• Hands-on experience with data architecture, data modeling, database design

• Working experience with noSQL data platforms (Cassandra), pub/sub messaging (Kafka, AMPS, Qpid etc), Stream processing (Storm, Spark Streaming, etc)

Development Experience

• Must have development experience Python, Java or Scala

• Experience implementing microservices based architectures, GraphQL or OData preferred

• Experience designing and implementing Container based architectures like Docker, Kubernetes or similar

• Extensive experience with horizontally scalable and highly available system design and implementation, with focus on performance and resiliency

• Experience designing, developing, deploying PaaS and IaaS environments like Cloud Foundry, AWS OR Azure.

• Well versed with Agile practices such as Scrum

• Experience with version control tools and processes (e.g. Git)

• Experience with deployment, CI / CD management tools like Jenkins, Chef or similar
