DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Perform Database design, Data modeling and Data Architecture development. Create conceptual data model, Logical data model, Data profiling, Data Quality, Data lineage and Data analysis tasks. Perform Database development tasks like create PL/SQL Procedures, Packages, materialized views, Triggers and other DB components using a clear understanding of Database Architecture, Operating Systems, Client/Server Architecture, Middleware and Hardware (Servers, SAN, Network). Analyze requirements and strategize the impact of requirements on different platforms/applications. Identify the recurring failures, broken processes and fix them via change management process. Support existing data pipelines (SQL Code, ETL Jobs & Shell Scripts) and ensure data timeliness & quality are not compromised in data warehousing applications. Identify manual activities and automate them. Perform Database administration tasks like DB session monitoring, database migration using Oracle GoldenGate, patching, upgrade, data loading, security, capacity planning, performance monitoring, tuning, database maintenance plan activities including backups and recoveries using RMAN and Netbackup, indexing, integrity and consistency checks and DR testing. Automate the DB deployment process using Liquibase and Database batch Job scheduling using Autosys. Design, architect and build data platform solutions using Big Data Technologies. Work with Architecture and Engineering team to define Reference Architecture for Data/Distributed computing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the position offered or seven (7) years of experience as an IT Analyst/Consultant, Data Warehousing Specialist, Applications Developer, Systems Engineer or related occupation.

Skills Required: full-stack Java or JEE web application development; Data Modelling; Data Warehousing; Data Mining; Data Analysis; Database Administration; SQL; PL/SQL; SQL Query tuning; ETL tools including Informatica; Java; Big data; Unix Shell or Perl scripting; Liquibase; and Autosys.
