Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) develops educational opportunities for many of the most eager students in the world. Since 2003, we have trained tens of thousands of the country’s top students, including nearly all the members of the US International Math Olympiad team, through our online school, learning centers, textbooks, and online learning systems. Over the years, our international online community of advanced problem solvers has grown to over 700,000 members. While our primary focus has been math for most of our history, we have started expanding into new subjects, such as language arts, science, and computer science.
We reach almost all of our students, parents, and teachers online through our elementary Beast Academy Online learning platform; our AoPS Online School, community, and resources; the online homework and parent dashboards for our in-person AoPS Academy learning centers, and our online Virtual AoPS Academy Campus. As we continue to develop new online products and scale and improve our existing educational products, we seek a Director of User Experience Design to build out the UX/UI function at AoPS from the ground up. Collaborate with Art, Engineering, and Project Management to translate those ideas through implementation into delightful experiences
Create a user-centric and data-driven culture by conducting user research, interviews, surveys, and user testing and by analyzing the data and outcomes of user experience projects
Establish the UX/UI domain by developing processes, standards, and best practices for design, testing, and research
At least 5 years of UX/UI or Product Design experience, ideally including experience at the Manager or Director level
