Duties: Design, build, test, and support production distributed software applications. Conduct hands on POCs to prove concepts/products. Migrate applications to internal and external clouds. Migrate applications to Microservices architecture and design patterns. Evaluate open source and vendor software products. Work with architecture and design leads across firm on platform's business and technical architecture, as well as project understanding. Work with product representatives to define software application feature requirements. Coordinate with teams to integrate systems and ensure proper end-to-end integration of software applications.


Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer, IT Analyst, or a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following skills: Building high-volume, internet-based application systems consisting of at least forty-thousand transactions per second; Software development in agile environment; OOP and SOA architecture; Enterprise design patterns; Domain-driven design; Microservices patterns and architectures; Spring Boot; Spring Cloud; Spring Batch; Spring Web Services; Java Concurrency; Concurrency Patterns; Building thread safe code; Designing and building REST and SOAP web services using Java at Internet scale; Building event-driven architectures and message-driven architectures; and, multiple database platforms such as RDBMS or NOSQL.
