The role of a DevOps Engineer at Staex includes the following responsibilities:
  • Implement efficient processes and standards in operations - oversee implementation and usage of operational systems  throughout the engineering team
  • Design company IT policies that align with the overall strategy of resource-efficiency and social contribution
  • Provide IT data analytics, and reporting
  • Managing company infrastructures across multiple Cloud providers and on-premise
  • Lead quality assurance efforts; monitor performance against defined goals to ensure that progress is being made
  • Support in setting up infrastructure with customers, vendors, partners and other stakeholders
  • Support in managing binding contract obligations, e.g. SLAs, with customers and partners
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local and international laws e.g. data protection
  • Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs
  • Report on operational performance and suggest improvements
  • Be part of the engineering team by providing development infrastructure and support
  • Automate and improve release and development processes
  • Perform code reviews and tests
  • Ensure safety and security of company systems
  • Identify operational problems and develop software updates and fixes
  • Plan projects and be part of management decisions
  • Scout market for interesting technical solutions and integrate the most interesting ones when needed
Your skills are:
  • Completed studies in computer science, or a comparable qualification
  • Over 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience with IAM systems, especially in managing Google IAM infrastructure
  • Experience in public and private cloud as well as in the administration of Unix/Linux systems
  • Experience with CI/CD, e.g. GitLab CI/CD or ArgoCD
  • Experience with container/virtualization technologies, VPN & firewalls
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, e.g. Terraform or Pulumi
  • Handling of automation tools (Ansible) and version control systems (git)
  • Knowledge of security standards or de facto standards
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
  • Problem-solving skills and great attention to details
  • Good organisational and time management skills
