Omaha Steaks’ Graphic Designer will complete a wide range of customer and internal facing projects that will appear in a variety of channels. You will work alongside our designers, storytellers, photographers, and creative directors to craft compelling, brand-aligned marketing pieces
Major Job Responsibilities/Job Duties:
You must be able to produce high quality work quickly, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and keep organized continually. Last minute changes under tight deadlines are par for the course in this workflow.
Design using tools in the Adobe Creative Suite: primarily InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Collaborate with creative and marketing teams on planning advertising pieces
Ensure the designs focus on the quality and thoughtfulness of the customer experience
Concept and execute a variety of print mailings, ads, catalogs, banners, signage or packaging
Execute files for pre-press output, including color corrections, inks, bleeds, spell check
Ensure every design meets brand standards and partner requirements
Ensure every project is delivered on time
Design compelling, brand-aligned marketing pieces
Working through edits and revisions from creative reviews or proofing
Project planning / collaboration with creative and marketing teams
Proofreading at all steps in the design process
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
4-year college degree or equivalent work experience, continuing education in software tools and skills
3-7 years’ experience in graphic design position
Excellent layout and typographic skills
Experience designing in a commercial capacity. Should be able to walk the line between art and commerce, Design creative pieces that reinforce the brand image while also communicating clearly and driving sales
Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
In-depth knowledge of print pre-flight: resolution, bleeds, inks, color space
Self-starter, detail-oriented, dependable and ability to work within quick turnaround timelines
Adapts quickly and maintains accuracy through frequent updates, demonstrates flexibility
Have a “can do” attitude and doing whatever it takes to get the job done right and on time
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, and time-management skills
