Hi! We're GorillaDesk.
We’ve built an amazing cloud-based software solution (SaaS) for field-service professionals—most notably, the pest control industry—that enables them to organize their business, impress their clients, and connect their team without breaking a sweat.
In fact, at the time of this posting, over 1,900 companies trust GorillaDesk to help them quote, schedule, invoice, and get paid—faster!
Which means we've been able to achieve the rare combination of growth and profitability since our inception, five years ago.
We do it by aggressively recruiting the absolute best and brightest people and structuring our company in a way that makes them want to work here forever.
It's easy to say, but very hard to execute.
Here are the tenants we’ve embraced and how they’ve allowed us to develop a strong, motivated team, working hard towards true north:
Core Values: How we act T.I.G.E.R.
- Tinker - Try new things. Failures are learnings.
- Integrity - Keep your word. Be whole and complete.
- Growth - Push yourself. Beat Prior Bests.
- Empathy - Exist in the customer's shoes. Care for others.
- Remarkable - Lead by example.
What you'll gain:
- Autonomy -having control over your work: managing your own time and making decisions on what you do and when.
- Mastery -being able to use and improve the skills you enjoy.
- Purpose -making a difference. Understanding what you do has value.
We are also one of the early adopters of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), a new style of running an organization in a self-organizing manner that draws inspiration from agile software development and lean manufacturing processes.
Rather than hiring people for exactly one job description, we instead look to find well-rounded team members and flexible thinkers; those who can survey a wide range of sources, synthesize key insights and recommend actionable strategies to propel GorillaDesk into the future.
As a self-organizing team, our people have multiple roles and our role descriptions are regularly updated via small iterations. As their interests change and our needs change, the roles people fill change dynamically over time.
'Most startups believe in iteration of their products. Now they need to apply the same thinking to their organizations.'
– Adam Pisoni, Yammer co-founder & CTO
That said, EOS is not unstructured: you'll have a clear understanding of your current roles and responsibilities.
Even though EOS is a lot to learn, we have a great onboarding process and the rest of our team will guide you through your first few months.
Every team member gets 11 company-wide holidays per year as well as 13 paid time off days which can be used as you please.Go have fun. Don't work all the time.
Our team members also work hard, are constantly learning, and accomplish a ton for the company in the time that they are working.
