The Finance Data & Insights Team is an agile product team responsible to for the development, production, and transformation of Financial data and reporting across CCB. Our vision is to improve the lives of our people and increase value to the firm by leveraging the power of our data and the best tools to analyze data, generate insights, save time, improve processes & control, and lead the organization in developing skills of the future. Our overall product objectives include: 1) constructing a data environment that enables cross-business, customer-centric decision making and reporting needs across CCB in a consistent framework; 2) creating an ecosystem of dashboards, sourced from authoritative data sources, to replace all manual management reporting and to allow our employees to focus on generating actionable insights; 3) eliminating user tools, saving time, and increasing ability to generate insights through data, dashboards, and developing new capabilities.

Role Description

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for end-to-end preparation of data and development of dashboards using Tableau & Alteryx. Your work will support analysis delivered to senior management, including the CCB leadership team.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop automated interactive dashboards using Tableau & Alteryx.

• Drive innovation with stakeholders during agile development sessions to create and improve dashboards leveraging newly on-boarded data sources

• Query data and merge information from diverse data sources to create rich datasets that enable better decision-making

• Analyze data using tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, SQL and SAS to develop and automate reports or analysis that lead to actionable business insights

• Provide recommendations for testing new and emerging technology

• Support ongoing technology evaluation process and proof of concept projects

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years experience working with data delivery projects, preferably related to customer or marketing analytics or in the financial services domain

• Minimum 5 years experience developing advanced data visualization and presentations preferably with Tableau

• Experience with business intelligence analytic and data wrangling tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, R, SAS, or Python

• Experience with business intelligence dashboarding tools such as PowerBI, Qlik or Business Objects

• Experience with relational databases optimizing SQL to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analyses

• Knowledge of modern MPP databases and big-data (Hadoop) concepts

• Experience with Hive, Spark SQL, Impala or other big-data query tools

• Experience in reporting development and testing, and ability to interpret unstructured data and draw objective inferences given known limitations of the data

• Demonstrated ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in data

• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions
