The Apple TV+ IS&T team leads the technology strategy, delivery, and sustainment of IT systems used to enable Apple TV+ Studio and Production operations. We ensure technology and business strategy remain tightly aligned through multi-functional partnership, knowledge of industry trends, and familiarity with the Apple corporate systems landscape. We work closely with leadership, business partners, engineers, vendors, information security, and others to deliver a technology ecosystem that meets the demands of a high growth organization. We are looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our team.
The role provides technical expertise and support for current and innovative workflows inside of our facility. We support the technology as well as any niche equipment required. We work in a very fast-paced and highly demanding technical support environment. The facilities engineer will be stepping in to provide overall support for Apple’s new studio facility building, including support for the new Apple TV+ CLED theater and the executive screening room. Top priorities for the position will be understanding the signal paths of the entire facility. Working to understand all the functions and possible solutions that will come from Post Production teams and studio executives. A fast learner is needed to understand the architecture of the environment and be able to execute multiple routing assignments between a variety of end points. Day to day management of specialty rooms and the custom equipment as well as the displays in those rooms while learning the underlying IT infrastructure across the facility. A strong skill set in identifying signal routing issues, display issues and hardware issues. Must know how to facilitate ingesting different file types and being able to quickly trans-code content and have it ready for delivery to a variety of displays throughout the facility.
