Duties: Build and manage J2EE (Java Enterprise Edition) enterprise backend platforms. Drive the design, development and deployment of various software components. Work closely with product and project groups to gather requirements and deliver code for the various projects. Work on the adoption of both internal and external Cloud platforms as required to implement the applications in the cloud environment. Participate in project planning sessions with product/project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. Perform design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. Perform Peer Review of source code to ensure compliance with development standards. Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Utilize Micro Services/ SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) to develop stable, resilient applications. Utilize big-data technologies like Elastic Search, Kibana and logstash to improve the efficiency of search and reporting system. Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural standards.

Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field.

Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience in software development for large, complex enterprise environments, or related experience.

Alternate minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in software development for large, complex enterprise environments, or related experience.

Skills required: Experience with software development in large-scale distributed technology projects in a J2EE environment. Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Experience with web Services Development including SOAP, XML, REST and Micro Services Architecture. Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (Mule and Oracle ESB). Experience with the software development release lifecycle and source management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile). Experience with cloud platforms including AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Pivotal Cloud Foundry. Experience with the Financial/Payment Processing Services industry or high volume transaction processing systems. Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC processes and automated tools, including requirements, issue management, defect tracking, source control, build automation, test automation and release management. Experience with Open Source technologies (Maven, Junit, Log4J, and MyBatis).
