Master Platform Engineer (Varicent)
We are seeking a highly creative and intellectually curious Platform Engineer to be instrumental in contributing to Capital One’s Human Resources tools and infrastructure. In this role, you will work independently and collaborate across multiple teams to accomplish organizational goals. You will be part of a team that specializes in building and maintaining systems that enable Capital One’s internal associates to become more productive and achieve their personal and professional goals. Responsibilities & Expectations:
Ability to create solutions on the Incentive Compensation platform via configuration and serve as the SME on how to leverage configuration to solve business problems.
Serve as a trusted advisor to our product and business stakeholders and work closely with them to architect, define, and execute technology solutions on the Incentive Compensation platform to solve business requirements and problems.
Leverage deep incentive compensation Modeling expertise to lead Line of Business incentives automation into production environments and manage ongoing on-call production support after go-live
Ability to architect Incentive solutions, as well as lead the implementation of designed solutions on Incentive Compensation platform in accordance with industry best practices.
Adept at intaking and deciphering complex business requirements and translating them into technical terms and specs for the development team
Adept at performing business analysis and problem solving and has ability to think through problems creatively
Understand Incentive Compensation platform limitations and ability to creatively design workaround solutions to overcome limitations
Take end to end ownership and oversight of solution development: from requirements gathering and architectural design, to development and implementation of proposed solutions on Varicent.
Have thorough understanding of optimized design patterns for Incentive Compensation platform
Proven ability to integrate disparate systems with Varicent
Ensure Varicent best practices are followed during development of Incentive Compensation solutions.
Lead and mentor other technical resources on the team
Have strong communication skills
At least 5 years of experience in Incentive Compensation Modeling with Varicent
At least 5 years of experience with Sales Performance Management services
At least 5 years of experience working with SQL
8+ years of experience in Incentive Compensation Modeling with Varicent (Formerly IBM Cognos ICM)
8+ years of experience with Sales Performance Management services
8+ years of experience in with SQL Server
3+ years of experience working in Agile environment
