RL Consulting is a Berlin based one-stop boutique agency for all gift card needs: from insights and consultancy to sales and technology. What is so special about gift cards? Gift cards are among the top five most popular gifts across Europe, and number one gift in Germany. Also, one of the most common incentives used for employee rewards, loyalty programs and promotional campaigns. In 2020 the sales of gift cards were 475 billion € worldwide – this is not a small industry! Gift cards are also a very profitable product for brands and retailers, who can generate up to 10% of their overall revenue through gift cards. The gift card industry keeps growing year after year, and we have identified a need from brands and incentive companies to get support understanding the potential of this category or how to penetrate this market. What is our mission? Our mission is to provide growth and continuing impact on the gift card and incentive industries, by providing access to trends, innovation and facilitating meaningful business connections. We want to be the “go to agency” in Europe for leading brands looking into outsourcing the gift card business. Companies such as Adidas, Mango, TK Maxx, Zalando, Thalia or Footlocker have already placed their trust in us and have our support on different projects across Europe. We have worked with over 30 clients in over 12 countries and are constantly adding services and testing new business models. Our international team works completely independently and often remotely. We fully trust each other and focus primarily on results. What would be your main tasks and responsibilities as Partnership Account Manager? Acquiring new clients: Establishing close relationships with leading brands, gift card distributors and retailers across Europe. Reaching out to brands, setting up introductory calls, presenting our services and understanding what their needs are. Account Management: Once we onboard a new client or agree on concrete deliverables with our clients you will be responsible for running the project in cooperation with other team members: setting targets, team coordination, progress monitoring, reports preparation Network development: Supporting our clients with regular project updates and project planning. Gift card sales (via gift card corporate buyers): build up a strong network of B2B opportunities to present to our brands: identifying companies interested in using gift cards as incentives; creating marketing concepts; presenting potential collaborations; following up until deal closure. Strategic Projects: driving special projects end-to-end, coordinating tasks and deliverables with rest of team members and clients. Who are we looking for? We are looking for an experienced and motivated B2B Account/Partnership Manager to join us at the Berlin office. Main skills:

  • You bring 2-4 years of experience in B2B partnership or account management. Experience in retail, marketing agency, rewards, incentives or gift card industry is a great plus.
  • You have an education in business and marketing
  • Experience managing stakeholders/clients and sales background.
  • You are driven by growth and enjoy bringing contacts and clients together, presenting innovative collaboration ideas and closing sales deals.
  • You are ideally well-connected with retailers and consumer brands across Europe.
  • You work autonomously and drive projects on your own, ideally with experience in managing small teams or projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • You are self-driven, not afraid to support negotiations on behalf of some of the biggest brands in Europe.
  • You are happy to work in a start-up environment and new challenges excite you.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and are fluent in English and ideally German. Additional languages such as French, Italian Dutch, Spanish are a big plus.
