Description
Industrial design is responsible for creating, developing, and documenting key product features related to aesthetics and user interaction. The position will work with project managers, design engineering, and other stakeholders to develop new products and update existing products.

Responsibilities

*Innovate and push forward new concepts, end user solutions, and product platforms
*Manage aesthetic consistency across multiple product types
*Create designs for new products and update existing products
*Define digital and tactile user experience
*Consider human factors and ergonomic solutions
*Create renderings for existing products and products being developed
*Develop and document specifications for graphical user interfaces
*Organize design documentation and assets
*Work with cross functional project teams

Qualifications

Education
Required
Bachelors or better in Industrial Design or related field.

Experience
Required

*Recent graduate with co-op or internship to 2 years experience
*Understanding of interface design, ergonomics, human factors, and principles of industrial design.
*Excellent communications skills
*Highly developed conceptual, creative, and analytical skills
*Ability to work independently and with team members toward project goals and timelines
*Required software: Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, SolidWorks, Keyshot, MS Office
Preferred

*Preferred software: Sketch, Axure, animation software
*Experience designing for consumer products
*Mechanical design using 3D CAD software (Solidworks or similar)
*Cooking experience/proficient home chef
