Job description

KOLAR is seeking a visionary and creative leader that provides design direction, which represents our firm as a best in class international design firm providing unparalleled interior design services and brand positioning for our clients in all markets we serve. The Interior Design Lead guides the design process to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standards of creative excellence and fiscal responsibility, while meeting our client's strategic and business objectives.

The person in this leadership position shall be well versed in the latest lifestyle, art, design, and technology trends and how they can be expressed in our projects, in new and inventive ways.
They shall foster strong relationships with our clients based on trust, creativity, and integrity.
The Interior Design Lead is also a mentor to in-house creative staff, providing inspiration and guidance so they may realize their full potential and career goals as design professionals.

In addition, the Interior Design Lead will be working with our research team from the Kolar Experience Institute. KEI is a research and insight institute that uses research, actionable insights and co-creation to drive business results. We provide place-based strategies to shape the future of the brand experience for clients + communities.

Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications (+/-10 Years) relevant experience, should provide a resume, portfolio, and 3 professional references

Education, Experience and Related Skills
Advance level computer skills and Office suite and design tools
5+ years of demonstrated experience working in the field (10 years for lead role)
Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
Strong interpersonal and written & verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.

This is an exempt, full-time position that will typically involve 40 hours a week. The position will report to Workplace Market Leader for mentorship, career and organizational management. This role may require travel for client facing meetings. There are no physical demands required for this job.
