The role As Head of Operations, you are responsible for building the infrastructure to enable sustainable, long-term growth at Saiga. You put in place structures that allow the company to grow quickly and ensure that we have the people and processes in place when we need them. At the same time, you ensure that everything is healthy and legal today: we don't want to run out of money and we don't want to go to jail. With the annotation team, you will manage a core component of Saiga. You will be responsible for setting up and running this unit, developing processes and systems that enable us to execute and annotate admin tasks in such a way that we can subsequently improve our machine learning systems with this data. This puts you in charge of one of the key ingredients to Saiga's future success. You will run operations in a productive way, minimising the red tape while helping to embed things such as data protection across the organisation in a positive way. You are great at handling multiple tasks at the same time and have the knowledge and experience to also oversee the financial aspects of our business as part of your role. Your role is very hands-on as well as strategic, so while you are experienced in the latter you must still derive a lot of satisfaction from the former. You will work across the entire organisation, keeping your own team as lean as possible, while still investing enough to build a healthy team and structure. Annotation Team

  • You have 5+ years prior experience in a senior operations role in a high-growth company or equivalent consulting experience.
  • Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or an MBA would be ideal.
  • People management, particularly in areas such as logistics or customer success.
  • Know how to set up efficient processes and then optimize those further.
  • Confident and effective communicator, both internally and externally.
  • Very strong in data-driven analytics (build the spreadsheet AND make sense of it).
  • Fluent English and strong German to deal with the annotation topic.
