Oculid offers cutting edge mobile eye-tracking technology for remote user research. This helps researchers to easily understand decision making and visual search, and therefore enables them to design the best possible digital products. Our mission is to provide a remote tool that enables researcher to conduct comprehensive studies without having to make compromises. We are a multidisciplinary team looking for additional team members. Our approach to work is strongly characterised by a scientific approach, openness to new ideas, a creative spirit, and a compassionate and cheerful atmosphere. Our current backend stack includes:

  • Python3 (Django & Django Rest Framework)
  • Gunicorn, Celery, RabbitMQ
  • DevOps: Docker & Docker-Compose, Gitlab CI/CD, AWS, Terraform
  • Monitoring: Sentry
  • ML in Production: MLFlow, Tensorflow-Serving, AWS
  • Architect, design, develop, deploy, and operate our web applications and data pipelines following best design and development practices
  • Focus on making our systems robust and scalable as we face rapidly-growing demand
  • Take the lead on new software initiatives, from internal tools to new product features
  • Manage our internal backend services
  • Proactively identify and resolve future technical risk
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of our technical team, and have the chance to guide and influence our engineering practices and mindset as we scale the company
What you bring:
  • Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining consumer-facing web applications and REST APIs
  • 3 years of experience with Python
  • Proficiency with SQL and knowledge of at least one relational database (MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.)
  • Experience with infrastructure on AWS
  • Comfortable working on the Linux command line
  • GIT
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • What would be nice
  • Experience with Django & the django-rest-framework
  • DevOps experience (Docker, Gitlab CI/CD, AWS, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Familiarity with React
  • Located in or willing to work from Berlin
