As a software engineer, you will work with a team of experts in cardiovascular disease, computational modeling, machine learning, and business, to develop software tools for reconstruction of coronary artery trees using angiography image data. The right candidates for this position are self-motivated, independent problem solvers with a background in computer science, computer vision, and image reconstruction.

The company is a seed-stage digital health artificial intelligence (AI) start-up located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The company’s mission is to bring the benefits of AI to angiography and augment patient-specific treatment decisions to improve the clinical management of coronary artery disease (CAD) – one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Who you are:

• You have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Computer Science
• You have expertise in computer vision and image reconstruction
• You have strong coding fundamentals and are experienced in Python, C/C++
• You can implement complex algorithms from concepts described in scientific publications

What you will do:

• You will optimize and refactor existing code building upon prior work
• You will develop new code for reconstructing 3D structures from a set of 2D images
• You will work with angiography medical image data
• You will be responsible for creating and maintaining repositories of code and data
• You will have opportunities for contributing to IP development
• You will participate in technology discussions where your opinion is valued
• You will work with experts in CAD diagnosis, physics-based computational simulations, and machine learning
