Ambassador Labs (formerly Datawire) | Developer Advocates, Engineering Manager, Head of Digital Marketing | REMOTE | FULL-TIME

We are building the future of cloud architecture.

Our leadership team After building Rapid7 and Duo Security, Ambassador Labs’ CEO is partnering with both renowned former CTO at Invision & VP Engineering of New Relic ($3.9B mkt cap), and the former VP Developer Relations at Confluent and Google Cloud Platform, to produce the DevOps stack for Kubernetes.

Kubernetes isn’t just a change in platform; it is a change in the development workflow. Before Kubernetes, monolith applications had static and separate, dev and ops workflows. The workflows had to be fixed and static since everyone was working on a big block of code that would get released at set intervals. The perfect storm of DevOps, microservices and cloud has changed the development process. What was once controlled, static and monolithic is now decentralized, dynamic and focused on developers delivering services, not just code.

Developer Relations is at the forefront of our strategy and we are looking to build the team. If you are currently a Developer Advocate, or a Technologist with a love of teaching, let's talk! Our company is constantly figuring out ways to share with the community. Take a look at our blog: The Developer Advocate will report to the Head of Developer Relations, Daniel Bryant [InfoQ Editor + QCon Chair + Co-author of "CD in Java" and "Mastering API Architecture" + PhD]. Check out his recent talk on the Past, Present and Future of API Gateways as well as his recent blog post:

We are also looking for an Engineering Manager to manage two teams for our open source and commercial products, Ambassador Edge Stack and Telepresence. You will be spearheading efforts in driving the future of cloud architecture on kubernetes. Learn more here:

Lastly, our CMO is hiring a Head of Digital Marketing to build, run and fine-tune Ambassador Labs’ digital marketing strategy and systems. Our growth/marketing teams is very different than how most traditional software companies are run. If you’d like to read more about our go to market strategy, read about our Product Led Growth model (”Defining Product-Led Growth" section) in the BUILD eBOOK:
