Job description

This position will report to the Hammerton Studio Design Director and work closely with the new product development engineers to create compelling product photo renderings. As a key member of the product launch team, the position will support our marketing team with photorealistic renderings and 3D models of all product views required for web, email, digital marketing and printed media. The right candidate will be creative, motivated, hardworking, and meticulous, with strong working knowledge of surfaces mapping in metal, glass, wood and plastic. Will possess a thorough understanding of lighting, texture, and color, and be able to translate this into 3D photorealistic rendering.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:

Use SolidWorks and KeyShot to create photorealistic product renderings of products.
Develop product animation in KeyShot for user interaction on digital platforms.
Effectively apply knowledge of materials and fabrication processes to produce exceptional 3D rendered images.
Create and maintain workflow processes and asset libraries.
Collaborate with team members and be an integral facilitator of the design and development process.
Continually learn and explore ways to improve advance skills and workflows.
Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Provide helpful feedback to the team on design and process improvements.
Be receptive and responsive to constructive feedback.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design or equivalent experience in a related field.
Minimum 1-2 years of SolidWorks and KeyShot work experience (in hardgoods).


Highly proficient in SolidWorks and KeyShot.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Exceptional knowledge of materials, surfaces, lighting, texture, and colors.
Knowledge of product design process.
Understand fabrication and construction process.
Multi-task and work in a high-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Working Conditions:

Able to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for 8 hours per day.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
This position works primarily in a manufacturing plant environment with dust and moderate to high noise level.
