Duties: Participate in application design and code reviews. Incorporate architectural standards into application design. Document application specifications. Review of test plans and perform code reviews. Identify applicable system platform, components, and dependencies. Ensure compliance with project life cycle methodology and adhere to IT control policies and guidelines. Monitor project milestones and dates to identify potential issues and mitigate risks.


Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as an Application Developer, Oracle Consultant, or related role.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills: developing SQL scripts in Oracle environment; automating and scheduling batch jobs in Unix and Oracle environments using Autosys or CTRL-M tool; Unix or Python scripting; Hadoop big data platform; ETL (Extract Transform Load) tools such as Informatica or Pentaho; and Oracle Application Express (Apex). This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills: Oracle reports and forms; and application development in the financial industry involving database design for high volume transaction systems involving 100 million plus records.
