Job description

As a Project Manager/Lead, you serve as a central agency resource responsible for planning and executing projects. You maintain the flow of information from Client Strategy to the rest of the team and drive the plan to execute against desired outcomes. You are the centralized point of communication for an account/project and the keeper of all information pertaining to each project. You act as the “objective participant” and are able to assess all jobs in progress, prioritizing workloads, maintaining project communications and schedules, and streamlining the process so that all work can be done in the most efficient manner possible while maintaining creative integrity. You are responsible for managing and measuring all time associated with a project, from the perspective of both timeline/schedules and staff hours/effort. You play a key role in managing the project/account profitability for the agency by managing master timelines and tracking time against an established scope of work.

Responsibilities
Serve as the main internal access point for all project communication
Prioritize deliverables in a way that makes sense for the client and internal team
Manage day-to-day tasks to ensure that deadlines are met
Document and communicate project status to teams on a regular basis to ensure that all teams are aware of next steps and project milestones
Manage regular account/project status meetings
Assess risks and get ahead of project issues by solving problems and working closely with teams to determine smart solutions
Develop all project schedules in conjunction with Strategy, Creative and Production, and enforce each schedule throughout the life of the project
Track and analyze hours against agreed-upon budget and annual activity plan; manage the scope, hours and deliverables
Understand, track and communicate Creative team workload to facilitate quick turnaround, resource planning and accurate allocation
Partner effectively with Production teams for all mediums to achieve project goals
Route all creative/deliverables to appropriate team members for approval
Ensure that direct cost/out-of-pocket estimates are generated and approved in a timely manner and before any work begins
Work with Director of Project Management to estimate hours against deliverables

Qualifications
Ability to effectively operate within a diverse environment and with cross-functional groups
Clear and effective, oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to sustain focus while multitasking
Strong attention to detail
Self-starter skills and a “can-do” disposition
Ability to navigate stressful scenarios and maintain a positive attitude
Strong problem-solving skills
Leadership qualities, including meeting facilitation, time management, organization and ability to influence
Strong focus on follow-through and ownership of deliverables
Understanding of basic production functions (print, broadcast/video, digital)
Proven experience in people management
Demonstrated aptitude for prioritizing complex projects
Ability to accommodate change and remain flexible
