About Qri (“query”): Qri (htttps://qri.io)  is a distributed platform for publishing, discovering and collaboration of datasets. 

Qri users create automated, versioned datasets (open & private) that naturally integrate via a composable dataset model.  We talk about ourselves as a git/Github for data. We make software for technical data wizards - data engineers, scientists and analysts. We also help companies spin up private dataset networks to work across assets, sources, and departments. We’re a small start-up (mostly) based in Brooklyn, NY.  Here’s more about our current team (https://qri.io/about).

Where we need help:

• Interaction & Web Design. Information architecture, flow and presentation of our domain (https://qri.io), and SaaS products (Desktop App & Qri Cloud - https://qri.cloud).
• You’ll work with the Qri team to simplify/beautify UX & UI flows and information presentation.
• Promotion: You’ll help us build/improve materials (tutorial/promo videos) to promote Qri to our user communities and prospective clients & partners.

Brand Aesthetic:

Data science is complicated, stodgy, and unfun/unfriendly enough. We want to keep Qri fun, friendly, informal, inviting, bright, simple, and beautiful. Our founder is a graphic designer by trade, so you’ll know your work will be understood, respected and prioritized.

About You:

• We’re hoping you’re a Figma expert. Skills with HTML/CSS, and the Adobe creative suite is a plus.
• Deep experience building technical product wires, designing/redesigning UI/UX flows
• Experience designing and building digital assets for marketing efforts (messaging for presentations, ads, tutorials/explainers).
• No programming experience is required. We'd prefer illustration chops over programming, but being able to program definitely won't hurt).
• We're flexible on full-time/ 4-days per week / part-time.

Compensation: Somewhere between $75,000 - $95,000 USD per year, depending on skills and experience. You’ll also earn equity options. We’ll negotiate this with you. The more powerful your skills, the more we can pay you.
