🤩 We are Donut

  • Say no to idle money. If you've ever wondered why your bank account is earning 0.1% and banks are worth billions, we're here to change that.
  • We believe the future is open finance. Decentralized Finance (DeFi) makes financial independence possible for all — offering 2–10%+ yields and earning opportunities far superior to traditional banks and institutions.
  • Our traction is standout. We have 5,000+ users already using Donut and seen 50%+ monthly growth rates since launch.
  • Our international team is small, fast paced and eager to learn from you as much as we enjoy sharing what we’ve learned since starting Donut.
🎪 The role
  • We challenge you to join the Product team to learn and grow as much as you can within a 3–6 months internship. Having an impact is guaranteed.
  • You'll be instrumental in our effort to set up a new design system and evolving our visual design language by contributing directly to it.
  • You'll get involved in researching upcoming features.
  • You'll participate in product management activities that ensure that we’re designing and building products in a lean fashion.
  • Do you see yourself getting entrepreneurial in the future? This is a unique opportunity for you to get valuable insights into the workings of a high-growth early-stage company backed by leading international investors.
🙌 About you
  • You’re in the midst of pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Graphic/Visual Communications Design, Industrial or Product Design, HCI, or related fields.
  • You’re interested in people, their motivation for investing and saving, the challenges they are facing today, and how Donut can help them achieve their financial goals. As we operate in the United States an interest in North American culture is beneficial.
  • When you look at user interfaces you break them down into stateful components, check the typography for vertical rhythm, and spot inconsistencies in animation timelines.
  • Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines would be amongst your reading recommendations
  • You’re fluent in using Figma or Sketch and eager to learn about how design and engineering can work closely together to deliver the best user experience.
  • You are a good communicator both in your design documents and during design critique sessions via Zoom as well as in person.
🌻 Our offer
  • 3–6 months placement (flexible starting date)
  • Fair compensation
  • A highly transparent work environment
  • Your work will be released. No throw-away tasks.
  • Safety first: We’ll work remotely as long as required to stop the virus
  • No coffee machine duties
🌈 You belong here
  • As long as you’re fun to be around (and got the design chops of course), we want to work with you; whatever skin-color, sexual orientation, gender, culture or religion
  • Everyone is encouraged to bring their authentic self to work which also means you’re encouraged to share as much (or as little) about your personal life as you want
