Position Summary

The Lead UI/UX Designer is responsible for ensuring the design and the graphic production of the user interfaces of Breeze systems, both internal and customer-facing. They must create graphical user interfaces which will communicate the relevant information required in order to improve the total overall user experience. This person will work in close cooperation with the entire Information Systems team as well as cross-departmental stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Create visual mock-ups and storyboards
  • Design briefs provided by the team lead or head of design or product team members
  • Maintain current understanding of different devices, their operating systems, and interfaces
  • Establish and maintain the archive and master art structure and how the libraries are built
  • Create interface graphics including wireframing based upon research and using appropriate templates, best practices, and any data supplied
  • Deliver graphical designs which meet the quality expectations of the design lead including stakeholders (internal & external) within the project deadline
  • Collaborate with all development team areas to assess functionality and create flow charts and wireframes
  • Continually conduct brand analysis and market research in line with the requirements set
  • Ensure creative input and concept approval from PDMs and other Stakeholders (internally and externally)
  • Keep abreast of new developments/technology that could be utilized by the organization to retain its competitive advantage
  • Maintain brand integrity throughout the production process
  • Ensure all creative files are layered and named correctly and components are structured correctly and logically
  • Identify bugs and recommend fixes/improvements
  • Enforce the practice of image optimization for production ready assets
  • Assist with the continual improvement of the design process including user testing
  • Oversee the vendor contract relationship and vendor team for our design work
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence
  • Other duties as assigned by the Information Systems Director

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in graphic and multi-media design or a combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of solid UI/UX design experience
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and collaborate with other designers, artists, and developers to ensure delivery of the best possible User Experience
  • Ability to design UI flow and layout according to the needs of all stakeholders
  • Expertise in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success
  • Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines
