We manage petabytes of data and we need your expertise to make operation and maintenance as smooth as possible! Your responsibilities include  delivering  a reliable database platform through common, repeatable tooling and processes that support our organization’s success. You own the persistence layer’s design and management to scale more rapidly and avoid incidents proactively. You are open to collaborating with teams in our engineering department to identify needs and provide solutions.   • Scaling our platform and being responsible for its availability
  • Designing and implementing database as a service for the internal applications
  • Minimize incident impacts by improving database observability with monitoring, logs and metrics
  • Have an eye on IT standards and security
  • Taking part in on-call rotation (with the worldwide distributed team) for production systems
  • Automating the growth of our platform
  • Eliminating toil by creating better tools and internal services
  • Unifying the infrastructure across multiple clouds and regions
  • Simplifying incident response and minimizing the impact by creating runbooks and self-healing services
  • Taking part in on-call rotation (with the worldwide distributed team) for production systems
  • Contributing to open-source projects and creating new ones
Skills & Requirements:
  • A few years of experience as Systems Engineer and Software Engineer (DevOps culture) in an international team
  • You have a reliable Python or Golang foundation
  • Strong Linux skills
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm and Docker fundamentals
  • MongoDB or other distributed databases operational experience
  • Solid knowledge of Ansible, its ecosystem, and its internals
  • Experience using Grafana to build dashboards from Prometheus or Elasticsearch data sources
  • Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud APIs
  • Understanding of CI/CD and GitOps
  • The mentality to share and the aspiration to constantly improve yourself and learn new things
  • Fluent English to work in an international, distributed, cross-functional team
  • Great team player & reliable colleagues
  • Kubernetes API + Operator Pattern is a bonus but not required
