You'll use your critical thinking skills to establish the team's functional goals and set priorities and objectives that align with our overall strategy. You'll oversee areas like incident management, change management, release management, client communication, Risk and Controls, client relationship management, service improvement, discovery/gathering/documenting of business needs and data and requirements, and third party vendor management. You'll coach, manage and mentor people, both in-house and in working collaboration with our talented and dedicated problem-solving technologists across the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global network.

The Lab Manager will oversee all aspects of the lab day to day operations. The Lab Manager will be required to execute against the standards, policies, and procedures of the firm to improve the services and day to day operations, while ensuring compliance across the ecosystem.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, and will support the lab infrastructure, determining hardware and software components to meet ongoing lab usage demand. This position requires extensive interaction with multiple internal technology groups. He/She will be involved with gathering/documenting technical requirements for lab projects that support the needs of the internal technology groups.

He/She will also assist with proof of concept work for proposed solutions and work with key technology vendors for infrastructure support on both existing equipment and next-generation solutions to ensure success.

He/She will drive the automation of manual processes, removing day to day toil, driving the use of existing/new telemetry tools to improve ensure availability to the global client base.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

• Expertise in service, functional area or Infrastructure supported and interdependencies

• Technological, Organizational and/or Operational Change Management

• Advanced knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met

• Ability to set and drive the business' strategic direction to deliver technology that meets internal and external needs

• Knowledge of financial control and budget management

• Work well in an ambiguous and changing environment

• At least 10+ years of experience in relevant network technologies including experience leading complex initiatives

• Have a deep knowledge of a broad spectrum of networking technologies such as L2,

L3, L4, load balancers, firewalls, SDN, virtual technology, SAN fabrics and various storage technology

• Strong technology troubleshooting skills and proven ability to resolve infrastructure issues, incompatibilities, etc.

• Strong experience setting expectations and standards in measurable KPIs, objectives and milestones.

• Cisco CCNP or equivalent a plus

• VCP or equivalent a plus
