About the role As a Marketing Director you will be accountable for developing and delivering our marketing strategy and directing all marketing activities towards integrating our new voice of our company into all our business and product functions. Together with our founding team, you build our sales material, decide on our positioning, the marketing channels and the message we bring across to the right people in the Life Science industry. You are one of our first commercial hires and therefore have the chance to shape your role and have a very high impact on our business and growth. You will work directly with our founders Robin and Michael and you will have profound short and long term influence on our company's strategic and budget positioning. This role is heavily cross-functional and will be collaborating across all our teams from business to engineering, data science to privacy and more. What you will spend your time on

  • Conceive, conduct, manage, and evaluate strategic and tactical market-shaping plans and lead all our marketing activities:
    • Developing our product marketing positioning and the voice of the company
    • Developing a PR strategy for the pharmaceutical market
    • Writing popular science whitepapers together with our domain experts
    • Writing technical blog posts
    • Writing newsletters, blog posts and PR-announcements
  • Building sales material (e.g. pitch decks) with industry-specific use case deep dives
  • Owning our social media channels and create consistent content for our brand
  • Creating and updating our website’s content and track and measure success with analytics
  • Defining our sales narrative targeted at business and technical stakeholders
Essential requirements for the role
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in a similar role - pharmaceutical domain expertise is relevant
  • Ability to profoundly understand deeply technical and scientific problems quickly
  • Ability to break down complex technical tasks in simple terms
  • Great story-telling and technical writing skills (native English speaker)
  • Strong analytical thinking and intrinsic sense of ownership
  • Excited about implementing new structures from scratch
  • Self-motivated team player with innovative ideas to inspire brand loyalty
  • Required working level of tools:  proficient in MS Office, marketing & analytics tools that empower you to build up this function
Additional features we consider a plus
  • Senior experience in marketing and lead generation in a B2B environment (preferably Life Science)
  • A technical degree (e.g. Mechanical Engineering)
