The Product Development Lead will coordinate processes, and timelines from concept to production approvals. The job of the Product Development Lead requires efficiency in designing consumer products for the end user as well as project management experience. This position is responsible for end to end project design management that supports designing and developing unique product solutions for the woodworking market. Industry experience will be used to improve all aspects of project planning and resource management.

•Oversee project timelines through all stages of development ideation, proof of concept, solid modeling, design specification, sourcing, engineering, packaging creation and product presentation.
•Support designers with internal and external communications
•Organize and present product status and launch information to key stakeholder during the development process
•Directly responsible for designing and managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring safe, on time, and successful product launches
•Ensures the design and manufacturing quality standards are aligned to the brand position.
•Monitors the progress of projects including any changes to plans and production
•Strategize, plan, and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
•Assist in establishing and implementing departmental training processes and strategies
•Define project responsibilities with key stakeholders to create communication plans/processes
•Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Product Design or Product Management /or relevant experience
•5-10 years' experience with consumer product design/product development
•Experience working with International vendors Asia desirable
•Possesses a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and power tools is preferred
•SolidWorks experience solid modeling and part drawing creation
•Solid foundation in materials and manufacturing processes
•Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Suite
•Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members, vendors and management.
•Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods
•Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams
•Experience working in a collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
•Ability to lead and manage multiple projects successfully under pressure
•Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
