Introduction

Group Data and Analytics is a function with the aim to shape and execute our Analytics and AI strategy, vision and to ensure cross-functional execution for Ericsson to transform into an Intelligent enterprise. AI and Data is a key theme for Ericsson to become data driven, and we continue to build up world class competence in this area to increase performance, deliver intelligence and to ensure, secure and scalable development, deployment and continued operations of Analytics and AI solutions.

Purpose of the Job Role

This role is associated with the following responsibilities:

  • Hands on development of data enabled applications, from quick prototyping to industrializing applications.
  • Work with cross functional teams to better capture use cases and implement solutions that brings high value for a diverse set of users, leaders, product managers and developers.
  • Participation in architecture and code reviews
  • Maintaining relentless focus on performance, usability, security & quality

The role includes all development activities such as use case analysis, system design, architecture design, software design and implementation, integration, verification, simulations, tools design and product documentation.

Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation & information sharing

Position Qualifications

Focus is on the relevant software development skills and experience. It is a bonus if you have skills and experience in analytics as well.

Key Qualifications

  • Designing cloud native microservices using Docker, deploying in Kubernetes using Helm and relevant back-end languages such as Python, Java, Go and C++
  • Developing messaging, service exposure, service discovery using REST, Web Services and Hypermedia APIs
  • Designing and developing software in both Linux and Microsoft environments
  • Working according to Agile/Scrum and DevOps, Continuous Development and Integration, Testing and Configuration Management principles
  • Using CI/CD tools like Jenkins
  • Using Software Configuration Management tools like GIT or Gerrit
  • Awareness of any workflow engines, like Spinnaker
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree (MSc or BSc) in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with Spark, data warehousing & database systems is a plus
