If you’re a seasoned designer with strong skills and background in graphic design, and you’re looking to join an organization that can provide you with new challenges, we’d love to talk to you. As a key player in the healthcare division of Honeywell’s SPS Experience Design team, you will design outstanding branded, seamless experiences for medical and healthcare products. You will collaborate with other UX designers, researchers, interaction designers, industrial designers and visual designers, and work closely with Marketing, Engineering and Compliance. You’ll need to be an agile and rounded designer, able to turn your hand to visualization, storyboarding, packaging, illustrations, product branding, infographics and motion graphics.

Our objective is to communicate insightful visual information and effective product-related graphics, so be prepared to share a portfolio of graphical experiences that have led to significant impact on released products. You will need to demonstrate:

Key Responsibilities

Fluency in Adobe CC packages to create original, high-quality 2D graphic designs and the transfer of production-ready artwork for prototyping and production
Ability to work with Technical Communications to create 2D vector illustrations used in product manuals and user instructional documentation
Collaboration with other design disciplines and internal functions, showing an ability to receive and implement creative feedback in a team environment
Participation (tactically and strategically) as a member of a product development team to help determine scope and design requirements for new product branding and labeling
Excellent understanding of how to construct information for data visualization and compelling storytelling
Excellent all-round presentation and execution of best practices
Thorough understanding of user experience design and the customers end to end journey
Execute design projects within an agile development process
Maintain a continued understanding of the marketplace, competition, industry, methods, and relevant trends
Carefully apply and contribute to the Honeywell brand design language
Stay on top of quickly evolving business objectives with a flexible mindset
Engage with external design and development firms

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic
5+ years’ graphic design experience
Due to export control laws, all applicants must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents

Exceptional portfolio demonstrating innovative design and commercialized products
Experience applying corporate branding and design language systems
Experience in print and digital design
Experience in healthcare and medical design
Experience working collaboratively in global, multi-disciplinary design teams with cross-functional stakeholders
An attitude biased toward ownership, action, and pragmatic design tradeoffs
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and juggle multiple projects at once
