With a mission to meaningfully improve the financial health of millions of people, Truebill is transforming the way people manage their expenses and grow their net worth. We’re passionate about saving our users money and helping them gain control over their finances by offering budgeting and saving tools, identifying and cancelling unnecessary subscriptions, and negotiating lower bills. We’ve already saved our customers over $14 million, and we’re just getting started.

This past fall, we closed our Series B round of funding with $15 million, and we are now looking to hire a Product Designer as we continue to scale our team in the Washington, DC area.

Reporting to the Head of Design, you will be responsible for helping craft the design and user experience of Truebill. As a core member of the design team, you will be responsible for various product features as they relate to design and work closely with members of the product and engineering teams.

Specifically, you will:

  • Work closely with our Head of Design, product managers and engineers to define, craft, and support product features.
  • Be an owner, and take responsibility for product features.
  • Help to build and maintain the Truebill design system, allowing both design and engineering to work more efficiently.
  • Develop prototypes to conduct user research and testing.
  • Take initiative in thinking of new ways our users can interact with Truebill.

  • 3+ years experience as a user experience designer or similar design role.
  • Proficient in Figma (or similar tool such as Sketch. We use Figma exclusively at Truebill)
  • Practice empathy, and understand how your designs will impact users.
  • A problem solver who loves a challenge.
  • Don’t hold your biases too closely and understand when to compromise.
  • Works well in a collaborative environment, and are willing to show your work frequently.
  • Bonus points if you understand how your work will translate into code and how your design decisions effect engineering.
  • Additional bonus points if you can code and aid in smaller, front-end development efforts.

  • Health, Dental & Vision Plans
  • Competitive Pay
  • Equity
  • Matching 401k
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Lunch daily
  • Snacks, Kombucha & Coffee on tap
  • Commuter benefits
