The role is for a software engineer to help develop the Corporate and Investment Bank's strategic Virtual Assistant Platform. The candidate must be able to contribute both to backend and frontend development efforts. The role primarily requires solid experience in Java, Python or NodeJS although other similar languages might be considered. The ideal candidate will need to operate with a high degree of autonomy and demonstrate strong problem solving skills. The individual must be adept at learning new skills and enjoy working across all stages of the software development lifecycle

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

• Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

• Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes

• Keen understanding of financial control and budget management

• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals

• Core skill is solid experience design and development experience in Java or a comparable language

• Team leadership experience
