As a JavaScript Software Development Engineer in Test within the Digital Platform, you will be working on developing tools and frameworks that our QA and engineering partners across the Digital Platform can leverage to write and execute tests. We take a collaborative approach to quality, which means you'll work with experienced developers, managers and business partners across the organization. You'll receive coaching, mentorship and continuous feedback to help you become an even better technologist and professional.

You will be responsible for driving our test automation strategy, coaching teams, providing necessary tooling and directly contributing to a suite of automated functional and non-functional tests for JPMorgan's Digital Platform.

You will have the opportunity to use the latest tools, languages and frameworks while working with a large and friendly team who have a wealth of experience. You will be able to learn about financial markets from colleagues and extensive training resources.

You will influence our testing approach, development process and contribute to internal frameworks and libraries. You will have the opportunity to see direct impact of your contributions on the trading floor and in client feedback from around the globe.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
* Hands-on experience of JavaScript
* Experience with UI ecosystems: JavaScript and/or TypeScript, Node.js, Lerna, Webpack, Yarn, npm etc
* Experience setting up automation frameworks e.g. Cypress / Selenium
* Experience testing large desktop/web applications (incl. cross-browser testing) and writing test cases covering functional and non-functional requirements
* Experience automating functional and non-functional tests using Cypress, Selenium or similar; ideally in a grid environment
