Key Responsibilities

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will show an ability to take ownership of the reliability of the services you support. You will be front-and-center in the effort to keep our distributed services fast and reliable, meeting the expectations of our clients.

Our systems span from a large globally distributed RTB bidding platform which services more than 3 million real-time transactions a second, to clusters of user databases that host tens of billions records, to AWS EMR cluster, and more.

You will:

  • Act as a primary or secondary resource assigned to support multiple services/applications
  • May act as subject matter expert for some applications or technologies
  • Assist in defining SLI/SLO/Error Budgets
  • Participate in on-call rotations across a broad scope
  • Build automations for many task including deployment and auto healing from incidents
  • Collaborate with development teams on best practices, infrastructure setup, and planning activities with a focus on stability
  • Work closely with network and platform operations teams

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Information Technology or Engineering preferred
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of some of the following:
    • Google's SRE Model
    • SLO/SLO/Error Budget
    • Software Development Practices
    • Linux Administration
    • Database Admin/Development
    • Containers and Kubernetes
    • AWS and Cloud Technologies
