As a full stack Senior Software Engineer, you have the opportunity to accelerate the innovation and delivery of the SAP Ariba products.  You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to   expand the Ariba Cloud to cover every corner of the globe.  You will have the opportunity to work on internet scale level problems and complex business problems.  You will work with Java, Spring Boot, Angular4+, HANA, Hadoop, and Ariba Cloud technologies. To succeed in this position you must be incredibly passionate about user experience and be very results-oriented to get things done.

  • You will be a member of the Ariba Guided Buying engineering team
  • Work on building a highly scalable, performant distributed enterprise application with simple, consumer-like user experience
  • Architect, design and implement solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements 
  • Provide technical direction and guidance on engineering methodologies, standards and leading practices


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent - Masters in CS preferred.
  • 8+ years of development experience. 
  • Experience with building highly-available and scalable distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding and experience of Microservices Architecture- 12-Factor Apps, Microservice Design Patterns , Cloud Architecture and Integration Patterns
  • Proficiency in developing objected-oriented software, with deep experience in Java and Java frameworks – Hibernate/Spring/Spring Boot
  • Experience in Search and Recommendation Systems and frontend web technologies, including Apache Solr, AngularJS, Angular, Node.js, HTML5, CSS
  • Experience building out APIs – SOAP/REST
  • Experience working with  Kafka & Redis is a plus
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh is highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
