Job Description

As the FlowcastPre-Sales Engineer / Solutions Specialist, you will be the APAC region’s technical evangelist and drive the technical evaluation stage of the overall sales process, making you a critical driver of customer success AI and ML becomes more and more critical in the modern enterprise. In this role, you will be the key technical advisor to the sales team, work very closely with the data science, engineering and product teams, and serve as a vital product advocate to our prospects, customers, and partner community. You will be a key technical advisor to Flowcast customers as they undertake technical design and development of their end-to-end solution, often times their first experience with AI and ML.  You’ll also be responsible for clear articulation of Flowcast’s technical and functional product positioning to a wide variety of business and technical stakeholders, and for forging strong relationships with them throughout the sales cycle and well into their production deployments.

The Pre-Sales Engineer / Solutions Specialist position has a significant impact on Flowcast’s fiscal performance and it requires frequent use of independent judgment and critical decision-making skills on behalf of the company.   Ultimately, you will be the sales team’s technical expert in APAC, providing advice and technical aptitude in data science, engineering, and infrastructure. 

Measures of success include deals successfully technically qualified, solutions architected and, ultimately,  revenue influenced.  

As aPre-Sales Engineer / Solutions Specialist, you must be technically strong, inquisitive, curious, passionate, resilient, genuine, empathetic, organized, and resourceful.  Above all else, you must be an effective listener and care deeply about bringing real value to customers. You will work tirelessly at, and settle for nothing less than, the acquisition of every possible relevant client. 

This role is based in our Singapore office and is a key member of the Flowcast APAC sales team.

As a Pre-Sales Engineer / Solutions Specialist, you will be accountable for:

  • Evangelizing Flowcast’s strategy driving product demonstrations to customer executives and technical leaders within financial institutions and corporates 
  • Providing expert technical support for opportunities involving Flowcast solutions
  • Leading proof of concept (POC) and pilot engagements to validate Flowcast solutions for our prospective clients
  • Maintaining deep technical knowledge of Flowcast solutions, industry directions and trends
  • Maintaining working knowledge of peer and competitor products
  • Providing consultative technical support to customers and partners
  • Working collaboratively with Data Science, Engineering, Product and Marketing teams during the development, launch and continuing refinement of Flowcast products
  • Leading the technical pre-sales community discussions and facilitating knowledge dissemination of Flowcast solutions
  • Documenting best practices & architectural references in developing and deploying Flowcast solutions 
  • Demonstrating strong technical proficiency with Python and Docker
  • Confidently presenting sales and technical material to both small and large groups
  • Supporting large customers and/or teams practicing project management methodologies such as Agile, PMI, Lean and continuous delivery is preferred

You should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in an enterprise pre-sales, technical sales, solutions architect, or sales engineering, preferably in SaaS
  • Enterprise experience with a complex SaaS solution selling into finance organizations of Fortune 1000 companies
  • A proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, superior presentation skills
  • Domain knowledge in fintech (B2B financing), lendtech and/or commercial/transaction banking is a plus
