Engineers at Imagination Technologies are currently designing the world’s highest performing graphics processors. We need you to join the Linux team and put your software development skills to the test. You will focus on bringing-up and upgrading the devices used throughout development. You will be a member of a small team, working alongside other software teams implementing the full driver stack for PowerVR graphics hardware.

As part of the Linux team you'll be enabling customers and colleagues to get the most of their systems. Configuring and writing the low-level components of a development system. This role will bring you into contact with current and future generations of GPU hardware targeted at mobile and embedded devices.

You will

  • Become our expert on devices and development boards
  • Be our 'go to' person for system bring-up and software upgrades
  • Work closely within the team and liaising externally with other research and development teams
  • Use a range of hardware from customer prototype systems to production devices
  • Enjoy a challenge

You have

  • Experience with platform bring-up, such as BSP development
  • Good C programming skills and experience of languages and scripts.
  • Experience with managing and configuring a Linux system
  • An understanding of computer architecture issues (virtual memory, MMUs, caches, etc.)

You might also have

  • Experience in low-level driver development for Linux
  • Knowledge of how graphics hardware works
  • BEng or BSc in electronics, computer science or relevant experience
