Staff Compute Engineer

A permanent Staff Compute Engineer working in Cambridge as part of an Engineering division for a world leading software technology organisation. In this job you will undertake early stage viability investigations and prototypes to help set the technical direction, with focus on analysis of compute workloads for vision, image processing and AI.

Due to ongoing innovation development around software, we are looking for an experienced Staff Compute Engineer to join our team in Cambridge.

Your New Job

Early stage prototyping can require a diverse skill set and so the role favours applicants with a broad knowledge of compute and software development skills.

You will work closely with other members of the architecture team to define direction and share ideas, and develop prototypes or investigations in 1-2 person groups

What you’ll need to succeed

The successful Staff Compute Engineer will have experience working with or upon existing compute frameworks, languages, compilers or APIs and a keen interest in compute and knowledge of at least one compute-heavy domain, such as image or vision processing, graphics or AI.

Hands on experience of software development in C++ and Python would be integral. Experience of modelling or prototyping is desirable but not required.
