Humio, a part of CrowdStrike, is the time series logging and aggregation platform for unrestricted event analysis. We enable you to log anything, and answer everything – without worrying about compute or storage.

We’re an organization made up of technologists who love to inspire and engage. We are 100% remote, located around the world. We’re a small company with the resources of a large organization behind us. We’re looking for a developer community manager to help us reach, organize and support the Humio community.

You are passionate about developer community. You understand the importance of community to technology development, and have participated in developer communities, and even led one or two. You’re credibly knowledgeable about modern software development techniques, architectures, tools, principles and technologies. You have high empathy for community members and are genuinely interested in teaching others.

As a Developer Community Manager you’ll lead the growth and nurture of our community through our assets (eg our forum) as well as on 3P locations such as StackOverflow. You’ll work with the community to help drive content contributions and recognition.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and execute the developer community development strategy for Humio.
  • Connect with and grow our community through moderating and engaging on platforms and forums, both ours and third party ones.
  • Identify and develop engaged community members, ensuring they’re connected with the right people within the company.
  • Coordinate with product and development to support their features and releases with the community.
  • Share insights and feedback from the community team to Humio.
  • Promote community involvement within Humio and build a framework to support employees engaging with the community.
  • Work with other members of the Humio community team to ensure our community is recognized, celebrated and nurtured.
  • Build measures and report appropriately on community development progress to stakeholders.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in a community manager role.
  • Experience with leading or establishing a community around technology.
  • Experience building relationships with key influencers in the community, potential community members, and external community leaders.
  • Familiarity with observability technology and communities.
  • Experience with GitHub, IDEs, Unix systems, automation pipelines, and cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of scripting, application lifecycle, and deploying networks and servers.
  • Basic knowledge of a programming language such as JavaScript, Python or the like.
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
